Dave has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 9, is a full-time educator for Prince George’s County Public Schools, been a music instructor at Camp Arena Stage for seven summers, and has performed throughout the DC Metropolitan area. In 2009, he performed junk percussion in the America’s Got Talent Auditions. In 2008, Dave sang and played every weekend in a professional percussion group at the National Harbor. He was featured in the Washington Post Weekend Section in July of 2006 with the Eddie Lounge Show. He has played drums in a number of musicals (Esther, Pilgrim, Guys and Dolls, Godspell, Joseph, and Chess). Currently Dave performs with the Roger Hooper Jazz Trio. He also hopes to come out with a kids CD entitled, Everyone’s a Spitz-O-Matic sometime in 2012.

I saw the Alleys and Cans piece a while back. This piece explains his interesting take of different percussive instruments. This is a cool profile.
